An opportunity has arisen for a skilled and well motivated Behaviour Support Worker to join the Northumberland Behaviour Support Service.
The Behaviour Support Service is a peripatetic team working with school staff and multi-disciplinary professionals to assess and provide support for learners (predominantly between the ages of 3 and 16 years old) with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. We place a strong emphasis on building capacity within schools through a process of consultation and training.

We are looking for a highly skilled practitioner who may work directly with designated pupils and young people to meet identified social, emotional and behavioural needs as well as working alongside school staff to help build the capacity required to enable schools to manage the needs of the children and young people in their care.
The Behaviour Support Worker will work collaboratively with, and under the supervision of, the SEND Behaviour Support and Autism Support Teachers.

The successful candidate will also:
need to be highly motivated; require excellent time management and organisational skills; have good writing skills; be committed to supporting inclusion within mainstream school settings and be able to fulfil the travel requirements of an agile worker working in a large rural county.

The post is 37 hours a week, term time plus 5 days.
