Are you looking for your next technical challenge? ICT Services are seeking to appoint a skilled and experienced developer to join our busy applications team. This is an exciting time to join ICT Services and you’ll be helping to realise our ICT strategy and support the wider business by delivering new and innovative ways of working. Your ideas will help shape the future of the services we deliver to the citizens of Middlesbrough.

You’ll play a key role in the development, maintenance, integration and support of our enterprise class and line of business applications. You will help introduce new technology and challenge existing ways of working in order to support the Council’s business and transformational needs. You will act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) supporting the Councils applications portfolio and providing technical expertise in the support and development of digital, mobile and web based solutions.

You will have current and proven experience in analysis & design, web development, systems integration and application support & implementation procedures using a variety of tools and software. Expertise in the following: SQL, HTML, JS, CSS, Python, PHP and forms design tools would be desirable. You will also need the ability to find innovative solutions to resolve technical issues and to meet project requirements.
