Northumberland Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a multi disciplinary team that works with young people aged 10-17 and their families with the aim to prevent offending and reoffending.   
he YJS are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed case manager to compliment our existing staff team. You must be HCPC registered and be a qualified social worker.
The YJS are part of Northumberland Adolescent Services and we are closely aligned with the leaving care, accommodation, substance misuse, participation and youth services. The successful candidate will hold case responsibility for young people aged 10-17, including those on statutory Court Orders and Out of Court disposals.  
You will need to be able to assess young people's offending behaviour and personal circumstances with a view to identifying the most appropriate service response which minimises the risk of re-offending and promotes the personal and development of the young person The candidate will need to prepare reports, including Pre-Sentence Reports and Referral Order reports to a high standard ensuring that there is a thorough analysis of the offence and offender assessment has been completed

Other duties will include taking responsibility for reporting any safeguarding, changes in risk levels, or child protection concerns through the line management structure and follow departmental policies and procedures. You will also contribute, as required to the core tasks of the service - including, duty, appropriate adults, supervision of young people and Court. You will need to supervise young people in accordance to National and Local guidelines. You will be expected to record work using the child view database, including ASSET Plus  and Out-of-Court brief assessments and relevant risk and vulnerability documents.
You will need to participate in staff meetings, care team meetings and various other professional meetings when necessary.
