Longbenton is a high performing, successful 11-18 school and we are looking to appoint a Caretaker to start, preferably on 28th October, or the beginning of November 2019.

The main features of your work will be providing support to the Site Manager and the site team. Responsibilities will include security of the premises (including key holder responsibilities), maintenance, porterage and the lighting, heating and cleaning of the building. You will also carry out, and record, checks to maintain excellent Health and Safety standards.

The role requires the post holder to work a 2 week shift pattern rota. Shift week 1 (Early): Monday to Thursday 06:00 – 14:00 Friday 06:00 – 13:00 and shift week 2 (Lates): Monday to Thursday 13:00 – 21:00 Friday 11:00 – 18:30.

You will need to be good-humoured, enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy working with young people aged 11-18. Candidates should have a good standard of education and relevant experience. You will receive an induction programme and on the job training. You must like students and be able to make this evident from the way you interact with them.
