Fixed term until September 2020 (cover a secondment).
The Communication and Engagement Service leads and facilitates the Councils community engagement activity, ward governance priority setting, community projects, and partnerships and associated activity. We manage, monitor and evaluate community based projects and activity to ensure the Council and local communities focus on devolution, active citizenship and behavioural change facilitating conversations to empower individuals, groups and children and young people. The service also manages the Council’s community buildings asset transfer process.
You will need experience in developing and delivering successful community engagement and empowerment projects and activities and be confident in capturing, managing, interpreting and communicating information appropriately. You will have excellent communication, project management and listening skills with the ability to effectively build and maintain relationships.
