Horizons Specialist Academy Trust consists of five academies and one sixth form across the Tees Valley area serving a population of approximately 550 students aged 5 to 19 with a broad range of learning difficulties.
Abbey Hill Academy & Abbey Hill Academy 6th Form are at the forefront of current developments in the education of young people with special educational needs. We specialise in meeting the needs of students aged 11 to 19 who have a full range of learning disabilities. The academy provides for approximately 225 young people aged 11 to 19 years who have learning difficulties, as well as other physical and special needs and autism.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, outstanding, creative and enthusiastic teaching assistant who has the flexibility to work with young people who have a variety of special educational needs. The roles involve supporting students in the classroom giving attention to their physical as well as educational requirements.
