An opportunity has arisen in Compliance for the role of Plumber.
The Gateshead Housing Company currently manages approx. 20,000 properties on behalf of Gateshead Council. The Repairs & Maintenance Team is responsible for the responsive repairs covering day to day repairs to both occupied and void properties and improvement and maintenance.
You will be required to undertake, either individually or as part of a team, all types of Plumbing work both internally and externally to Council properties and other buildings across the borough of Gateshead, ensuring a high standard of work is achieved.
The service is looking for someone with a wide experience in the repairs and maintenance sector, able to diagnose and rectify problems where possible at the first visit, adhering to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
The successful applicant will need to have relevant experience in the construction industry, and in particular in the repairs and maintenance sector, and will hold as a minimum, NVQ level 2, or an equivalent City and Guilds craft certificate in relevant trade.
