Clinical Supervisor (Counselling)

Durham Schools Counselling Service would like to recruit an experienced Clinical Supervisor to provide monthly supervision to our established team of counsellors. Our counsellors work across several primary, secondary and specialist schools across County Durham.

Applicants must have significant experience both in supervision and in direct counselling work with children and young people. Knowledge of school systems and multi-agency working is important in supporting our team effectively.

Knowledge of a range of theories and interventions is essential for our team who work mostly from a humanistic integrative perspective. Applicants will be skilled at supporting supervisees in their personal and professional development and will take an active interest in new research and knowledge in the wider field of counselling and psychotherapy.

The post is temporary until 31st March 2020 and working hours are 2.5 hours per week, please note working days can be negotiated.

Salary: £45 per hour

Required qualifications:
• Diploma in Counselling or equivalent (Level 5 and above)
• Professional Accreditation with BACP/UKCP
• Diploma/Certificate in Supervision
