Reporting to the Director of Support Services and Business Transformation, this new role will drive our transformative technology strategy. This presents an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to help shape and influence our technological future, to enable and support our staff and service users in new and innovative ways. We are seeking an exceptional candidate who has experience of managing IT systems and services, preferably in a specialist education, residential support or similar organisation. As part of our strategy we plan to develop an integrated technology service, in order to support this it will be a distinct advantage for the post holder to have experience of the assessment, provisioning and ongoing support of assistive technology systems and services.
The Head of Technology will be energetic, experienced and motivated. Responsible for managing and developing technology at the Foundation including, but not limited to Information and Communications, Management Information Systems and Assistive Technology. Another critical aspect of this role will be maintaining, developing and securing our data and systems integrity, through the development of our IT and security systems.
Through effective leadership and development of the growing Technology Department, this role will ensure the highest standards of support are provided through our service desk, identifying escalation points and providing training where needed, while building a culture of continuous improvement.
