All Year round contract – 8am – 4pm, Mon – Fri
To start as soon as possible
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to assist with the technical support needs within our Academy. Supported by a Senior Technician, the role will predominantly provide support within the Design and Technology and Art departments at Washington Academy whilst also proving support across the wider academy as and when required.
The role can be wide-ranging and will involve providing colleagues with equipment and resources, as well as support in practical lessons, to enable teaching staff and students to undertake practical lessons. You will be required to work in accordance with strict health and safety guidance and procedures ensuring that a healthy, safe and productive learning and teaching environment is maintained. A calm, friendly and helpful manner is essential as is the ability to adapt and be flexible to the requirements of each Department.
During examination periods there will also be the requirement to invigilate.
The successful candidate will also hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate, or be willing to work towards this and be a part of the academy’s First Aid team.
