We are seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant who will provide effective and proactive maternity cover for this key role within our Central team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for the trust and support Central Team colleagues in business support functions including Governance, Finance and HR, as well as our Welfare team and Chief Executive Officer. This will give you the opportunity to be involved in innovative work within the trust and to facilitate essential business; designing communications materials, collating papers for our governors, analysing surveys and note-taking.

We are looking for someone who has experience in a similar role covering a range of administrative duties, with excellent organisational skills and a flexible and cooperative attitude. With effective verbal and written communication skills to suit a variety of audiences, you will be able present information in a variety of written styles and formats with attention to detail, utilising excellent IT skills including with MS Office applications. The ideal candidate will build relationships quickly and as appropriate, work in a systematic and orderly manner and have the ability to work to a brief to achieve set objectives.

The normal working hours of this post are expected to be 8.30-4.30, Monday-Thursday and 8.30-4.00, Friday during term-time, although there will be more flexibility during school holidays. Occasional evening work may be required to support trust events and some travel between our sites within east Newcastle will be involved.
