Are you looking for an opportunity to gain an NVQ level 2 in Business Administration qualification whilst gaining valuable work experience? Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council has an exciting new opportunity within the Social Work & Professional Standards Unit.
The unit is responsible for the Independent Review Officers who chair child protection meetings and reviews for children and young people in the care of the Local Authority; Quality Assurance and Customer Engagement; Workforce Development and the Principal Social Worker.
You will gain valuable work experience supporting the team with general business support tasks such as scanning, post duties, updating spreadsheets, taking telephone messages for the teams, booking rooms and convening meetings. You will gain a broad understanding about the working of the unit and vital service we deliver to some of the most vulnerable children in our Borough.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual who is self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative as well as being a team player. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an excellent service and be willing to learn and develop their knowledge.
As an apprentice you will be eligible to apply for Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council’s internal job vacancies as and when they arise within the Council.

Apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone over the age of 16 years old with no upper age limit. You will need a commitment to attend training to attain the appropriate level of functional skills (Maths, English and ICT) if these have not already been achieved.
