This is an exciting opportunity to help lead the way in building a more inclusive, stronger economy in the North of Tyne. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the design and delivery of important projects to help people find and thrive in work, develop their skills and prosper.
The North of Tyne Combined Authority is a ground-breaking organisation, allowing the transfer of unprecedented new powers from the Government to the North of Tyne. Working within the Inclusive Economy team, the post will take a lead on a portfolio of employment and skills projects. From day one, the first priority will be to roll out a ground-breaking approach to helping people return to work following an extended period out of work, especially long-term carers.
This role will be suitable for people who are committed to making a real difference to people’s lives, have experience of delivering employment and skills projects, who understand the barriers to labour market participation and have knowledge of the labour market in the North East of England.
We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with excellent project management, communication and organisational skills and an ability to manage a small team, work within a fast paced environment and with multiple stakeholders.
