Have you got what it takes to make a difference?
Aycliffe Secure Children’s Centre is the largest of its kind nationally. The young people we teach have a range of complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, often alongside significant trauma-based behaviours. Our aim is to give each young person the very best education possible so that they are able to fulfil their potential and have a brighter future.
We are looking for a teacher who has a proven track record of achieving outcomes with challenging learners and a commitment to ensuring that every child succeeds. Although the majority of our learners are in Key Stage 4, they are significantly behind age-related expectations, therefore to be successful, you will need excellent communication and behaviour management skills, very high levels of resilience, and an ability to teach a range of subjects, including Science. This post would suit an experienced practitioner who has worked successfully in either an SEMH school or PRU.
A comprehensive induction programme is provided alongside excellent opportunities for ongoing professional development as part of our highly skilled and experienced team.
