Polam Hall School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced candidate to the post of SEND Manager.
This post is for 41 weeks each year (37 weeks term time + 4 weeks across school holidays).
The post requires the SEND Manager to work under the direction of The Vice Principal: Teaching and Learning to:-
- To provide operational management of the provision for SEND pupils at Polam Hall School in accordance with the requirements of the SEND Code of Practice.
- To support teaching and learning.
- To line manage, train and deploy Learning Support staff.
- To communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and external agencies regarding the needs of SEND pupils.
The ideal candidate will have:
A good general education to Level 4.
A level 3 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent qualification, in an area relating to SEND.
Experience of managing a team and supporting children of both Junior and Senior School ages.
Specialist knowledge of supporting pupils with ADHD, ASD and Dyslexia and developing successful intervention strategies.

The School
Polam Hall School is a 4-19 co-educational day and boarding school which converted to Free School Status in September 2015. It is now part of Woodard Academies Trust and forms part of the Trust's Northern Hub.
This is a very exciting time at Polam Hall. The school has grown to its current 750 pupils over the last few years and will continue to expand until it reaches a roll of around 880.
