The Governors at Bowburn Primary School are looking to appoint an Enhanced Teaching Assistant to provide support to pupils in a mixed Y1/Y2 class, including pupils with SEND, to commence on 6th January 2020.

The successful candidate will be an experienced, dynamic and hardworking individual with proven experience of raising pupil attainment in KS1.

Extensive experience of supporting pupils with SEND and the ability to deliver pre-planned lessons and interventions to groups or classes of children is essential.

The need to be flexible in response to the day- to day requirements of a busy school will be an important consideration for any applicant.

This job is not open to job share.

Excellent literacy and numeracy skills are essential.

Key duties of the successful candidate:
• Provide learning activities for individuals and groups under the professional direction and supervision of a qualified teacher, differentiating and adapting learning programs to meet the needs of allocated pupils.
• Assess, record and report on pupil development, attainment and progress as agreed with the teacher
• Monitor and record pupil responses and progress and liaise with the teacher to share information on pupils’ achievements and any problems which arise.
• Deliver pre planned lessons to whole classes e.g. during PPA.
