A vital part of our transformation journey is the recruitment of a Service Director for Financial Management who will play a crucial role in the council's next chapter.
This is a new role for Gateshead, and the post holder will be the Deputy S151 (reporting to the Strategic Director for Resources and Digital). The post holder will manage a range of key services including accountancy, insurance, treasury and debtors/creditors and we are therefore seeking candidates with strong financial management experience in a local government setting. In addition, we also want you to be corporate and commercial, with strong political skills.
