A vital part of our transformation journey is the recruitment of a Strategic Director for Economy, Innovation and Growth who will play a crucial role in the council's next chapter.
Gateshead is already the leading location in the North East for innovation, design and technology. We want to build on that success by attracting new businesses, residents and students to the borough. As our new Strategic Director, you will be outward facing, with an understanding of how to promote Gateshead and put us on the front foot when it comes to developing our key propositions and thereby enabling a positive and inclusive growth agenda.
