Further Information
Required from 1st January 2020. A skilled, thoughtful and enthusiastic qualified teaching assistant is required to join our highly successful, well established, hardworking and experienced peripatetic team supporting children with hearing and / or vision impairment in schools and settings across North Tyneside. The successful candidate would work across a range of age groups and educational settings. Candidates must be able to work as part of a well informed team.

This post is term time only over 195 days, part time 18 hours 30 mins (2.5 working days per week).

This post is fixed term up to 31st December 2020

Candidates must be committed to continuing professional development.

The successful candidate will be given a full induction and professional development programme. The service is committed to safeguarding all pupils. The successful candidate will need to carry out the Service’s Code of Conduct and have DBS clearance.

Visits to the service base at Beacon Hill School prior to application are most welcome.

Please note applicants must hold a teaching assistant qualification or equivalent, and a current driving license. Experience of working with hearing and / or visually impaired children is desirable, but full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
