The Head Teacher and Governors wish to appoint a School Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the School Administrative Manager in the smooth running of the school by carrying out administrative tasks within our school office. Our school is a warm and vibrant place to be and we wish to employ a School Administrative Assistant who can contribute to our strong and happy team.
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant who is friendly, approachable and a great first contact for people visiting and contacting our school. The post holder must thrive upon working as part of a team and be open to training in specific school administrative systems. In addition, they will be responsible for ensuring that all administrative tasks are carried out in accordance with Local Authority guidelines and GDPR regulations.
The post holder will be required to carry out a range of duties to manage our school office requirements, including: meeting and greeting visitors; answering the telephone; responding to school emails; distributing school post; collecting and reporting attendance figures; making first and third day phone calls home; calculating dinner numbers and managing school lunch money accounts; school fund records; managing Swimphony and other online records; producing class lists for trips, visits and records;
organisation of school clubs.
Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
