Fulltime temporary maternity cover, (subject to the return of the substantive post holder)- Easington Affective Disorders, Merrick House, Easington

Salary: £27,905 - £31,371- £32,878– £36,876 (pro rata for part-time)

£35,934- £39, 782 (pro rata for part-time) (Grade 12) for Approved Mental Health Professional status

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and committed Social Workers/Approved Mental Health Professionals to deliver care co-ordination for people who experience severe and / or enduring mental health difficulties.

We currently have a full time, permanent vacancy within North Durham Psychosis Team and two temporary posts, one within Easington Affective Disorders Team and one within Durham City Affective Disorders Team.

The Community Intervention Teams (CITs) provide an integrated health and social care approach to supporting people with severe and enduring mental health problems and their carers. These functional teams provide statutory and specialist interventions on behalf of both Durham County Council and Tees Esk and Wear Valley’s NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful applicants will join multi-disciplinary teams of workers who are committed to providing a flexible and effective service to people with psychosis and affective disorders.

You must have up to date knowledge of current legislation and Policies/ Procedures in relation to Adult Health and Social Care.

Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Social Work qualification i.e. Degree, DipSW, CSS or CQSW or equivalent and either be a qualified AMHP or be willing to train as an Approved Mental Health Professional within specific timescales.

Applicants must hold or be applying for HCPC registration.

The successful applicants for these posts will be required to apply for a Disclosure Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
