As a school we believe in restorative approaches and our systems are set up to de-escalate and return children to lessons as much as possible. We also challenge

There will be significant training offered with this post in the areas of Restorative Justice, Mental Health, Teaching and Learning and Attendance. This role is pivotal to the success of the young people at Whickham School to support pupils to be the very best that they can be.
The successful candidate will have the experience and capability to support learning in the B.I.S, and to plan or adjust activities as appropriate to each student. Working with pastoral staff and under the guidance of your line manager, you will be part of the team ensuring that some of our most our challenging students with behavioural issues, are able to engage with learning and secure the best possible life chances.
