St Thomas More Catholic School is seeking to appoint an experienced Counsellor to support students and work with the School Pastoral team to provide independent and confidential counselling services to students through delivery of individual sessions, and responding to their personal, social, emotional or educational concerns.
The successful candidate will require an in-depth knowledge of evidenced based approaches to support and improve emotional wellbeing of students. They would be qualified to a minimum of Counselling Diploma level and in possession of, or working towards, BACP accreditation, UKCP registration or BPC.
St Thomas More Catholic School is a highly successful and high performing 11-18 Catholic comprehensive school with 1523 pupils on roll, with 311 in the sixth form. The school was awarded Teaching School status in 2011 and was described as an "outstanding school" in its October 2013 OFSTED inspection.
