You will receive a holiday plussage on all hours worked which will be paid at the same time as the normal pay for the work. The holiday plussage is based on the 31 days DBC contractual entitlement and this equates to 13.54%.

Darlington Borough Council’s Provider Services are looking to recruit Support Workers who have an interest in supporting adults with learning disabilities. The support we currently provide enables individuals to maintain and further develop skills to maximise independence and ensure their assessed needs are met.

We are looking to recruit caring, friendly and motivated individuals to provide both personal and practical support to people with a variety of needs, including some behavioural issues and complex physical needs.

These posts could involve working in Day Services, Respite or Supported Living Services there is a need to be flexible as the shift pattern includes day shifts, night shifts, sleep-ins, with some weekend and bank holiday hours.

You will be supporting people to take part in a range of both in house and community-based activities with a focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle and community inclusion. The successful applicants will have experience of working with adults with a learning disability.
