A vacancy has arisen within ICT Services for an ICT Assistant, the post is temporary until approximately 30th November 2020.

ICT Web Services are looking for a dynamic individual who is a team worker, has excellent organisational skills, good analytical abilities and excellent effective communication skills to communicate with different audiences (verbally and in writing), and can work with limited supervision.

The role will be to assist in the delivery of a critical project for the Council with is public facing and involves critical appraisals of websites and application portals.

Candidates should have NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and demonstrable ICT experience.

It would be advantageous if the applicant has knowledge of application software including MS products (Office 365), experience of using internet and intranet and an understanding organisational structures, relationships and influences. The role would benefit an individual with an aptitude for ICT and has the experience below, but this is not essential as training will be provided where appropriate.

• Experience of other content management systems.
• Knowledge of SharePoint Online.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Basic knowledge of ‘Accessibility Tools’ and Knowledge of WCAG Web Standards.
