PVH Emergency Duty Team Social Worker, Advanced Practitioner
Grade 9 £39782 - £43662 (pro-Rata)

We are looking to recruit an experienced, qualified Social Work Practitioner with evidence of continued professional development in Childrens Social Work and is able to demonstrate enhanced theoretical, legislative and research knowledge.

The successful candidate will have the confidence and skills to manage complex and high risk Childrens safeguarding situations that come to the attention of the Emergency Duty Team at nights, over the course of weekends and on bank holidays. They must feel comfortable deciding whether matters considered by the service, require a safeguarding response, and be able to independently initiate this considering relevant legislation, policy and procedures.

In addition to this, the post holder will take responsibility for managing resources out of hours and will assist in overseeing, guiding and challenging colleagues, both from within the Together for Children and those working in partner agencies who share our safeguarding responsibilities to children and young people across the community.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
