We achieve this via a network of 9 offices which customers can visit for face to face interactions and a contact centre which is the first point of telephone contact for the Council. We are also transforming our self service offer. We look to resolve all enquiry types at the first point of contact wherever possible for a huge variety of enquiry types including; housing benefit, council tax, blue badges, concessionary travel, housing, household waste, highways, planning and much much more!
We are ideally situated, predominantly in the South of Northumberland, with great connections across the County as well as Newcastle and North Tyneside by road or public transport.
If you are a person who loves to help others, in a Contact Centre and / or Information Centre environment, we want to hear from you! It is an exciting time for Customer Services at Northumberland County Council. We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible individuals with Customer Service experience to help us to continue to transform our services in Northumberland and be the best we can be for our Customers. We are creating a first class service for Customers to connect with us digitally, by telephone, or in person. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key as well as a dedication to fantastic customer service and a desire to help and resolve enquiries at first point of contact.
We are offering:
- A starting salary of £19,554 - £21,166 - competitive in a Customer Service role.
