Temporary for 12 months to cover a staff secondment

This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic and motivated leadership team within the City of Sunderland Adult Services. The post includes the management of both communities based co-located social care integrated teams, along with others. The role involves working closely with health colleagues to support people to maintain their independence for along as they are able.

You will have proven leadership skills, be able to lead a group of professionally registered and other staff in very busy, fast paced environment.
You will have experience of managing departmental finances and operating to tight financial controls.

You will be public facing and will have conflict management and clear negotiation skills as well as a high level of both written and verbal communication.

You will also have the ability to manage customer concerns with a record of dealing with these on an informal basis through to successful resolution.
The support of staff in their duties is your key responsibility and you will be expected to have the knowledge of social work practice, policy and legislation to enable you to do so.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
