Following our successful Ofsted report in September 2018 Hope Wood Academy continues to receive unprecedented demand for pupil places and therefore this means we need new team members who are enthusiastic, passionate about SEND and want to come and work in an exciting and growing academy.

Hope Wood Academy is an all age special academy in Easington, Co Durham. It is part of the Ascent Academies Trust, which comprises four special academies in the North East. As part of the staff team you will play a key role in the achievement and development of students.

Candidates should be well organised, be able to work as part of a team and have a good understanding of students with ASD or SLD/PMLD, complex learning needs and challenging behaviours. Candidates will possess GCSE A*-C or equivalent in Maths and English and possess an NVQ3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.
