Hartlepool Borough Council are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Highway Inspector to undertake appropriate inspections, identify areas requiring works, and liaise with utility companies and members of the public in highway related matters.
The successful candidate will have experience of working within a highways environment, and have an understanding of highways maintenance techniques.
You will have knowledge and experience of Health and Safety in respect of working on the highway, while assisting the department in the defence of insurance claims is also a key element of the role.
Good communication skills, the ability to work independently and a flexible approach to work will all be advantageous to the successful candidate.
