An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Support Officer to join the team based at Central Depot in Dormanstown.

As the successful candidate, you will provide confidential, comprehensive and professional administrative and clerical support to the department which will include data gathering, analysis and presentation in a variety of formats aimed at a variety of audiences. You will collate and process manual and computerised information (including financial information) as well as inputting, updating and retrieving information stored within appropriate systems and databases.

On a day to day basis you will be expected to respond to unexpected and sensitive customer queries or situations as well as handling complex administrative and procedural tasks or queries including complaints, both orally and in writing using analytical, numerical and problem solving skills.

Whilst collating information for strategies, plans and documents you will merge multiple sources of information into single documents, quality assuring the content in addition to assisting in the processing of data and management information, placement of orders, payment of invoices and monitoring expenditure.

You will have NVQ3 in Business Administration or knowledge gained from extensive and relevant experience and have a good standard of education including ICT skills covering databases, spreadsheets and word processing systems.

You will also have the ability to work under pressure and direct resources to achieve tight timescales and deal with difficult situations. We are seeking candidates who have a flexible approach to work by responding to the needs of the service including, at times, requirements to work beyond normal working hours as well as being a strong team player, committed to an ethos of continuous improvement.
