The postholder is to provide road safety, highway, traffic and transport advice and comments on development proposals within the County.
Investigate and respond to planning applications and general enquiries to meet deadlines
Represent the Authority at planning appeals, hearings and public inquiries
Advise the public, Members, Parish Councils, developers and their agents regarding planning applications and general enquiries
Represent the Department at multi-agency meetings to ensure highways/traffic implications are considered
Ensure that highway/traffic schemes are recorded in Local Search Enquiries
Attend public exhibitions and meetings to represent DCC Transport Service.
Required Qualifications: Degree or Post Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering or related subject or Incorporated Engineer
