Gateshead Council is investing in digital services and solutions that will transform how it delivers its services and its business processes. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our existing IT team developing and implementing digital services that are easy to use, secure and effective.


You will be working on a range of exciting projects that will improve our internal business processes and working practices helping the Council become more
collaborative, agile and responsive.


We need an experienced SharePoint and MS Teams developer who will be responsible for building and supporting sites within our MS365 tenant. The role will involve improving and modernising legacy sites as they are migrated to our new platform.


You will have good communication and organisational skills, be able to work on your own initiative and work as part of a team. You must have experience of working with a variety of stakeholders at all levels within an organisation. A working knowledge of managing IT projects is essential preferably using Agile methodology.


You must have prior experience of designing, implementing and supporting secure SharePoint on-line and MS Teams sites. Experience of using templates, metadata, policies and labelling within SharePoint and Teams is essential. Ideally you will be able to provision sites using PowerShell scripts and have experience of using PowerApps and Flow to build business solutions with workflow authorisation. A background in application development using .Net and SQL is also desirable.
