Early Help Services in Redcar and Cleveland work in partnership with parents and other agencies to deliver high quality services to improve outcomes for all children and their families. The following post offers an exciting opportunity for dynamic individuals to join our integrated team to support families to access the services they need.

We are looking for a Family Hub Lead Officer to work as part of a Family Hub Team who identifies needs and provides targeted support to children and families on a range of issues including child development and social readiness; employment and training; parenting, health and home safety.

The overall purpose of this role is to:
• Plan and ensure the delivery of targeted activities both at home and within the family hub and satellite centres for the most vulnerable children, young people and their families in the local community
• Develop working arrangements with partner agencies including schools and voluntary community sector to provide support services within family hubs to meet the needs of the local community.
• Line manage and supervise family hub staff who deliver sessions in the family hubs to preschool age children and their parents and ensure they have a clear focus on the welfare and wellbeing of children and young people.
• Ensure the compliance of Health and Safety within the family hubs

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working with children aged 0-5 years and families in a variety of settings. They will hold a minimum of a NVQ Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject to working with children and families. They will have a proven experience of partnership working and significant experience in leadership and managing a team. You can demonstrate a good understanding of assessments, team around the family processes and local issues effecting children, young people and their families.
