An opportunity has arisen for a new administrative role within Adopt North East Regional Adoption Agency. This is a full time Grade 5 Permanent Post.

You will be responsible for the coordination of post box contact for families where they are involved in adoption. Post box contact arrangements are put in place to enable adoptive parents and their children to maintain appropriate indirect contact arrangements with birth family members. We are looking for someone who has excellent administrative and organisational skills and experience. You should be used to working directly with the public and be able to demonstrate emotional resilience to deal with distressing situations and managing highly sensitive personal information. In addition to dealing with telephone enquiries you will need to be able to make electronic records and manage administrative processes. Experience in working in a children’s social care environment would be an advantage.

Adopt North East is the new regional adoption agency, which combines local authority adoption services from North Tyneside, Gateshead, Newcastle, Northumberland and South Tyneside.
