Job Title Sessional Employability Lecturers required to cover Learning and Skills Service sites
Working Pattern: As and when required - sessional role based on service delivery requirements.
Tutors required to work across Northumberland in the following areas: North of the County - Alnwick and Berwick, South East - Ashington, Cramlington, Seghill, Morpeth and Blyth

The Service
Northumberland Learning & Skills Service currently administers its own supply of sessional lecturers who undertake assessing, lecturing, learner support and administration work at various Adult Learning Centres across the County. Delivery takes place during the day, evenings and weekends.
The role
You will be based in the Employability Team and you will work closely with colleagues delivering employability support across Northumberland via the Generation North East Programme and the DWP Work and Health Programme. You will work with customers referred to employability training from these programmes and also from Job Centre Plus ( JCP).
You should be able to develop and deliver employability sessions that can inspire and engage participants to take steps towards employment.
You will be responsible for delivering personal/social development, employability skills and providing IAG to a wide range of customers.
You will need experience of delivering group training, one to one support, IAG and be able to build good relationships with participants to support them into employment, education or further training.
Experience of delivering short, medium and long courses including using digital technologies is essential and you will deliver engaging, creative lessons that include a variety of resources to meet all learning styles.
You will encourage customers to identify the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations. Providing regular feedback to customers and to referral agencies is essential to enable customers to make progression, ensuring that joint working is supporting the achievement of employment outcomes and customer progression. It is therefore essential that you are able to build excellent working relationships and partnerships with internal colleagues and all external partners.
You will motivate and encourage customers to identify the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations and signpost them accordingly.

A starting salary of £24,313 - Salary range is £24,313 - £26,999

Teacher training qualification
