King Edwin School is a growing, independent SEMH school based in Norton, within Stockton-On-Tees. The school opened in June 2014 and offers learning opportunities to young people from across the Tees Valley, many of whom have failed within a mainstream environment.
Due to the continued growth of King Edwin School, recently rated Good by Ofsted, a vacancy has arisen for a Subject Instructor / Vocational Assessor to join our focussed and professional team. You will deliver a range of interventions and learning opportunities including vocational provision (motor vehicle (basic), construction trades (basics)), 1:1 tutoring, and IT to a small number of students in small groups or on a one to one basis.
We wish to hear from you if you are enthusiastic, patient, committed to achieving the best outcomes for young people, with a determination to help them overcome barriers created by them and others and have an ability to inspire achievement within the vocational provision.
The school has a warm, family based ethos, focussed on the values of growth mind-set, kindness, personal responsibility and resilience. We strive to help to improve the lives of each of our children and their families when a child joins the school.
We seek to recruit kind, caring, professional and dedicated staff members to complement our high performing teams. We need people who can respond to the needs of our children and parents consistently and positively, irrespective of their role within the team. In return we offer a highly supportive employment package, including access to funded approved training and excellent progression opportunities.
The successful candidate will be joining an amazing and dedicated team of staff in a growing, thriving and improving school. We offer excellent training support, including funding appropriate qualifications to encourage our staff to develop within their roles.
