Further Information
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone who is assertive, thinks creatively and is able to engage families.

Based in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub, you will work alongside partners from health, education housing, YOT and social care, to gather information and feed into decision making. You will be assertive and confident, encouraging different and creative decision making, to ensure that wherever possible, families are supported at an earlier stage under an early help remit.

You must be able to engage families both face to face and over the telephone, to gain an understanding of their support needs.

You will have good knowledge of early help and safeguarding.

You will utilise a Signs of Safety approach to highlight what’s working well for the family and identify how this could be built upon using early intervention.

This post is permanent, 18.5 hours per week.

North Tyneside Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

In addition, staff and volunteers are expected to familiarise themselves with all relevant policies, procedures and guidance in relation to safeguarding children and safe practice with vulnerable adults. Within North Tyneside, safeguarding is everybody’s business.
