Job Location: Joint Stocks Waste Disposal Site, Coxhoe.

Permanent post – Full time hours to suit seasonal variations in work load.

Working as part of a team at Joint Stocks Landfill Site the post holder will be responsible for composting operations at the site. The role will involve operating heavy plant (loading Shovel) and using a shredder and trommel to process and treat green waste to specified compost grades, produced to PAS100 standards ready for off site dispatch and use. This is a pressurised role where maintenance of service is paramount to ensure the councils collection service is fully maintained.

Experience of working in a relevant operational-related area, e.g. waste or environmental services and of working with and operating mobile plant and machinery are essential.

Required Qualifications:
Recognised plant / machinery qualification e.g. CPCS or NPORS for a Wheeled Loading Shovel

Due to the requirement to drive a County Council vehicle in this role, appointment will be subject to the production of a valid driving licence for the required category of vehicle and the satisfactory completion of an in-house Driver Induction Assessment.
