Public Health Manager (2 posts) (37 hours, Permanent)

We are seeking to recruit two Public Health Managers, to assist in delivering against targeted portfolios of public health work and to support the management of commissioned public health services through regular performance monitoring, improvement processes, needs assessment and service reviews. 
The post-holders will also support the relevant Senior Public Health Managers in contributing to the delivery of the corporate vision for Northumberland as articulated in the Corporate Plan, our new Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy and other key corporate strategies and contribute and advise on the development and implementation of health improvement, health protection, and healthcare public health programmes, policies and strategy. 

A key role of these posts will be to enable the further reach of public health across the Council to support action around the wider determinants of health and to support the oral health, Best Start in Life, sexual health and drugs and alcohol portfolios. 

You must hold a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Health Promotion or a related field or evidence of equivalent experience, and have the knowledge and understanding of the main health inequalities in Northumberland and the social determinants of health.
