Our governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Catering Unit Manager to join their very successful team as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to provide outstanding school meals and help to shape the health and well-being of our children and staff.
You will be required to provide a nutritionally well balanced and appetizing midday meal for approximately 65 children and 5 staff. Some kitchen support is in place.
The successful candidate must:
- show a passionate interest in cooking and developing menus
- have a very good knowledge of the nutritional standards which apply to schools
- be keen to develop children’s interest in eating a balanced and healthy diet
- be a good team member
- have appropriate health and hygiene qualifications
- show appropriate literacy, numeracy and ICT skills to facilitate efficient ordering of resources and food
The working pattern will be:
Monday to Wednesday: 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m
Thursday and Friday 9.00 to 1.30p.m.
Some flexibility in hours to suit the successful applicant however lunchtime is 12.00 to 1.00 p.m
