An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learner Support Base Coordinator to join our fast-paced organisation. Based in Houghton-le-Spring, Kepier is a large secondary Academy with ambitious plans for the future. The successful candidate will be hardworking, extremely organised with meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Your role will be wide ranging and the ability to prioritise workload, remain calm under pressure and maintain a good sense of humour is essential!

You will be responsible for the management of Internal Isolation Room(s) and Internal Exclusion Facilities and alternative education providers. You will encourage learners’ engagement with education by supporting behaviour for learning and you will work with learners in managing their behaviour and improving their skills for learning to enable them to access education and achieve their full potential.

Applicants must possess:

• a recognised qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent;
• experience in supporting behaviour and alternative interventions;
• a high standard of literacy and numeracy skills; and
• experience of Coaching and Mentoring.
