An exciting opportunity has arisen within Northumberland Adolescent Service; a two year fixed term contract or possible secondment for the role of Deputy Team Manager within our Youth Justice Service.
Essential to this post is the Social Work qualification as you will be required to work in partnership with the 18+ Team Deputy Manager and cover during their absence.
You will have the drive and determination to contribute to the future development of NYJS, improving performance and ensuring quality in the delivery of our work.
You must have proven management skills, experience of working in youth justice or a related area and the ability to lead, develop and support a team of youth justice staff. You should have experience of working with young people with complex needs and a proven ability to improve outcomes. The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues from partner agencies is a key skill for achieving success in this role. You will need to lead on a number of themes including Out-Of-Court Disposals and education / training and employment.

This is a fixed term position offering a salary of £41,675 - 45,591.
