Salary: Grade H - £28,785 - £31,371 dependent on qualifications and experience

The Head Teacher and Governors of Portobello Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated School Business Manager to join their team from 20th April 2020.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead and manage to the highest standard.
This will include: finance, HR, recruitment, payroll, GDPR, referrals & admissions, maintenance & grounds, health and safety, catering and housekeeping, ensuring the school is fully compliant and runs smoothly. You will be expected to support the Headteacher in the continuing development and improvement of all aspects of the school.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, innovative and solution focused leader, capable of motivating others to provide the highest level of service. They must be able to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role. They will have the confidence to work in partnership with senior leaders and governors, as well as liaise with external agencies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will be fully conversant with Keeping Children Safe requirements including ensuring robust recruitment processes.

Previous experience in the role of School Business Manager is desirable.
