Moorbridge is a Pupil Referral Unit for KS3 and KS4 pupils in North Tyneside. Moorbridge PRU is part of (NTSSS North Tyneside Student Support Service) which offers a range of services to schools in North Tyneside including TRAX Outreach, SSC (Student Support Service) AND Home and Hospital tuition.
The PRU has been rated ‘Good’ in the last 3 Ofsted inspections and we continue to achieve a high rate of pupils achieving 5 GCSE/Equivalent or more in Year 11 which means that we are always in the top 10% of AP provisions in the UK. Last Year 2019 89%full time pupils achieved 5gcse/ equivalent
Our pupils need staff who:-
Are experienced, enthusiastic and will create a calm and purposeful environment with proven ability to support in the administration/clerical duties within Moorbridge. Pupils at Moorbridge have extreme needs which may prevent their attendance at a mainstream school.
Head Maths Teacher - Full Time, permanent contract MPS/UPS + SEN 2 Allowance +TLR2a
We are looking to appoint, with effect from September 2020 or sooner an inspirational and enthusiastic Head of Maths who has experience of engaging difficult to reach pupils who has the ability to engage and enthuse students with a passion for learning and re engaging in education. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, and have a track record of outstanding student performance. Maths is currently an area we feel needs to be significantly improved at Moorbridge.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an imaginative and creative teacher to work in a supportive and energetic environment. You will be able to demonstrate the talent, interpersonal skills and a range of teaching strategies required to inspire and motivate students. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding teaching practitioner with sound mathematical knowledge and a passion for teaching. The post holder will be expected to Lead and deliver courses to Key stage 3 & Key stage 4 along with one other teacher. The successful applicant would be fully supported within this role with the opportunity to work within a positive and enthusiastic environment as well as an environment where Teaching & Learning is prioritised alongside nurturing and meeting individual needs.
