Ascent Academies Trust was founded by four special secondary schools with the aim of developing a vision and strategic plan for special educational needs in Sunderland, Easington and Stockton. By collaboratively working together they are able to increase the opportunities they can offer their own students and staff and each academy brings to Ascent its own wealth of knowledge and expertise within their area.

We are seeking to appoint a number of Supply Teaching Assistants who will be responsible for supporting individuals and small groups, in addition to working with whole class groups.

Further information about the Academy can be seen on their website.

Candidates should have a good understanding of students with severe and profound learning difficulties, complex medical needs, and challenging behaviours; be well organised and be able to work as part of a team. Candidates will possess GCSE A*-G or equivalent in Maths and English.
