The Active Partnership that covers Northumberland and Tyne & Wear has recently been created through the coming together of two highly respected and successful teams from Northumberland Sport and Tyne & Wear Sport. Our role is to work with a wide range of partners from various sectors both locally and nationally to reduce the levels of physical inactivity that exist among our communities. We aim to do this by helping and inspiring people to adopt more active lifestyles, thus creating happier, healthier and stronger communities.
We are looking for an experienced marketing and communications specialist with a high level of self-motivation. We need someone who can communicate succinctly and persuasively, and writing will be one of their key strengths.
This is a full-time role with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Charity’s digital and print communications. This includes a broad portfolio of communication tools including social media, websites, the traditional press and a range of printed materials from leaflets to banners.
We need someone who will relish the task of reaching an ever-expanding audience of B2B and B2C. The right person will be pro-active and love a challenge. They will bring with them at least a year’s experience across marketing and public relations, but also be well organised and willing to learn new skills as this is a varied role.
The right candidate will enjoy being a team player with a can-do attitude. They will be joining a small but experienced and dedicated team working across two offices based in Blyth and Washington. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly across the two locations, but will be able to be primarily based in either office.
