We are seeking experienced and qualified Teaching Assistants.

The successful applicant will have a track record of successfully engaging vulnerable young people and have the ability to work creatively and provide support in addressing the needs of pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning.

The applicant should also have an understanding of teenage Mental Health and be able to support with young people that may display challenging behaviour

Our pupils need staff who will create a calm and purposeful environment with proven ability to support in the administration/clerical duties within North Tyneside Student Support Service. The post holder will need to be creative, resourceful and resilient. The successful applicant will work well under their own initiative but be equally confident in operating as part of a supportive team.

We are particularly interested in applicants who have good organisational skills, are self-motivated and have a calm and competent disposition as well as a sense of humour the post holder will need to be flexible to the needs of the service and individual students.

These posts are permanent, term time only over 195 days, 37 hours per week.
