The Governors and Head Teacher of King Street Primary & Pre-School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and conscientious Afterschool Care Manager. The position would suit an experienced childcare professional with experience of staff management and in maintaining high standards of care working with children ranging from Pre-School through to Year 6.

The successful candidate will:

Work closely with parents, staff and governors and other stakeholders to ensure our high standards are maintained, the ability to motivate and guide a team with a professional and courteous manner following policies, procedures and protocol. During your time in the setting you will create a fun, inspiring and caring atmosphere whilst supervising and be committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children. You will also be required to record and set activities and to exchange information about children’s progress with staff and parents and encourage parental engagement.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.
