We are looking to recruit a youth justice officer who can support young people to achieve their full potential.

Working directly with young people and their families, you will be able to undertake formal assessments and deliver researched interventions whilst keeping the well-being needs of young people who offend at the centre of your work.

This is a time of change for youth justice services and as we focus on a more preventative and integrated approach, you should be able to demonstrate flexibility and the ability to embrace change.

South Tyneside Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant pre-employment checks.
